It was a busy day today for the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

First, it was MMA fighter Wanderlei Silva. Then, UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones and #1 contender Daniel Cormier.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0-0, 27 KOs) admitted in a NSAC hearing today that some of the content in the Showtime reality show All Access used to promote the recent Marcos Maidana rematch fight  was staged.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission handed Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva (35-12-1, 1 NC) an indefinite ban from MMA competition and fined him $70,000 USD today.

After The Crossfire – UPDATED – UFC Fight Night 52: Hunt vs Nelson

Mark Hunt with a crushing right uppercut knocked out Roy Nelson in the second round, staking his claim to the UFC heavyweight title shot conversation at UFC Fight Night 52 in the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Nelson was knocked out for the first time in his UFC career.
